About Me

My name is Dr. Jamie Lee and I am a residency-trained, board-certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist, a Family Nurse Practitioner, and an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. This website is devoted to medical professionals who are interested in discussing current trends in clinical practice and evidence-based research, particularly in the field of physical therapy and nursing. Other healthcare professionals are more than welcome to join the conversation. My passion is inter-professional collaboration between multiple professions, so that we can provide more effective, integrated care for what matters most: our patients. When I’m not writing about healthcare, I’ll be discussing my life journey and what I’ve learned over the course of my career.

I completed my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Marquette University, a Master of Science in Nursing from Rush University, and a Post-Master’s Certification in Family Practice at George Washington University. I am one of only a few clinicians who is licensed in all three professions. Having experience in each discipline gives me a unique vantage point to provide exceptional care across the lifespan. I am truly honored to be a part of some of the greatest professions in the world.

I currently work in primary care as a nurse practitioner and physical therapist. I absolutely love my job and my colleagues. Additionally, I continue to be involved in academia part-time and hold faculty positions at Marquette University, Baylor University, and South College’s DPT program. My main responsibilities include teaching about pharmacology and primary care physical therapy.¬†

If you happen to stumble across this blog, my hope is that we will both learn something new and translate it to clinical practice!
